I am typing this blog while watching WWE's Friday Night Smackdown. I will be given my thoughts on the matches and other stuff that goes down.
They show a recap of the CM Punk vs Jeff Hardy TLC Match that happened at SummerSlam. CM Punk is opening the show. They got him talking like he is all holly and good for being so called "Straight Edge". He cues the guys in the truck to show the footage of the Undertaker chokeslaming him. CM Punk keeps talking like he is better than everyone. WOW!! JERK!! BUT then again that is what they want us to say and feel about the character that is called "CM Punk". CM Punk said he is tied of getting Booed. LOL!!! That is too funny!! Later on Smackdown they have a rematch for the World Heavyweight Title in a Steel Cage but CM Punk makes it a "Loser leaves the WWE" match. Teddy Long comes out to say that the winner of the match will face the Undertaker at WWE's Breaking Point PPV in 2 weeks.
NEXT is the first match of the night. Matt Hardy & John Morrison vs The Hart Dynasty. The match looks GOOD. John Morrison pins David Hart Smith for the Victory.
Next was supposed to be R-Truth vs Drew McIntyre but Drew attacked R-Truth when he entered the ring. So, the match did not take place.
Next is a Divas MATCH!! Michelle McCool comes out to watch the match and to say she can't wrestle tonight because she was attacked last week on Smackdown. So, she says, Melina will face Layla. Melina as usual comes out with her sexy entrance. The match is fairly short as Melina just takes over Layla. After the referee rises her hand to show she won, Melina goes to attack Michelle McCool.
Next, They show a recap of the events that went on this past weekend before the SmmerSlam PPV.
They are Back with Rey Mysterio coming to the ring. His match is against KANE!!! The Big Red Monster, KANE!!! Kane tries to destroy Rey, which end up with him getting DQ'ed. The GREAT Khali comes to the ring to attack KANE!!!! Kane leaves after getting attacked with a cane and then "OH CRAP"!! Dolph comes out of Nowhere and attacks REY!!!
NEXT They show another recap of the SummerSlam PPV before they go to break.
Back On..NEXT Chris Jericho & Big Show come to the ring. Chris Jericho has a match against Shad of Cryme Tyme. Teddy Long comes out to say the match is now a Tag Team Match because everyone begins to fight outside the ring. Big Show pins Shad for the WIN. Big Show got the win with his Knockout Punch.
They go to Jeff Hardy backstage putting on his Face paint for his match Tonight. Matt Hardy comes in to talk with him. He gives him words of encouragement. They lower the Steel Cage for the Main event.
They are back and it is time for the main event, the Steel Cage Match. Out first is Jeff Hardy!!!! WHOA!! CM PUNK Comes down the entrance ramp and attacks Jeff Hardy. HE throws Jeff against the steel cage several time before the referee tells them to get in the Steel Cage. Already the match looks so wrong!! I mean, I know the goal is to escape from the top of the cage but CM Punk keeps going for it like Jeff is not going to come after him. Jeff brings CM Punk down to the ring floor, so they start to actually fight it out in the middle of the ring. Jeff goes for a few pin attempts but CM Punk kicks out. Jeff tries to escape from the top but CM Punk stops him.
The match is looking good. I just don't like the outcome. EVEN......though I knew it for the past few days. CM PUNK WINS!!!!!!!! OMG!! They have him laughing like a mad man. LOL!!! Jeff Hardy is in the middle of the ring stunned!! CM Punk grabs his title and walks up the entrance ramp. The crowd chants "Hardy"!!!!! Jeff gets up and asks for a mic. He says, "It is only a goodbye for now". Jeff is standing at the entrance ramp and then CM Punk runs out and hits Jeff over the head with the Title.
Well, WWE's Friday Night Smackdown for August 28, 2009 was good but NOT GREAT. I know WWE wants to push a Superstar to be a HEEL but if another Superstar is leaving the company DO NOT make another Superstar attack them after they gave a speech to their fans.
